Navaho Missile

I designed this Scale model to compete in the Giant Sport Scale event at NARAM 56 which was  held in Pueblo Colorado. The winged portion is constructed out of Balsa with just a pinch of plywood in high stress areas.  White the booster portions is constructed out of Balsa, plywood and cardboard tubes.  I was again awarded first place in scale points but the model failed to make a successful flight.  The model now resides in pieces in a box under one of my work tables.  I had a BALL designing and building this model, so I am not too upset of the outcome.
